What is Telehealth

Telehealth, just means accessing health services via videocall.

Telehealth can be a fun, engaging and effective way to help your child on their communication journey without the need to come into a clinic or pay for travel costs.

Telehealth has the potential to support children at any age, with any difficulty on their communication journey.

I could write pages to tell you about all the fun learning we do together, from dance parties to working on concepts and following directions, to parent training once the kids are asleep, to teens sharing cool videos which we use as learning tools, to interactive online learning games. But the best way to learn is by seeing so why not watch this example video below.

FAQs

  • Is my child the right age for telehealth?

    • Children currently being supported by StressLess Speech Therapy are aged 4-17 years. I have supported families with children as young as 2 years through telehealth.

    • Every child and family is different. However, the families currently being supported include those with diagosises of Autism Level 2 and 3, ADD and ADHD, genetic deletions, intellectual impairments and anxiety.

  • My child has no diagnosis but needs some help with their speech and/or school work?

    • You do not need any diagnosis to be supported through Speech Therapy. Child can come to seek support for areas such as speech sounds. Or difficulties at school such as reading, spelling and writing, explaining what they know, following instructions, recalling information and understanding information.

StressLess works with families across Australia aiming to provide speech therapy that fits into their life instead of their life fitting around speech therapy.
